Highway Beautification Act of 1965

The Highway Beautification Act of 1965 is Federal legislation sometimes referred to as the Lady Bird Johnson Act. The act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson and mandates state controls regarding Out of Home (OOH) media and outdoor billboard advertising on interstate highways.
